Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
Faith is the heartbeat of a life that truly pleases God. Without it, even the most well-meaning religious practices—whether praying, singing praise, attending church, or doing good deeds—cannot find their mark with Him (Hebrews 11:6). Actions done without faith lack the warmth and power of Christ’s presence, and miss the point of worship. But this doesn’t mean God’s chosen people were unloved before they believed; on the contrary, God’s affection for His people began long before their first prayer. Scripture reminds us that He loved those who are His from before the foundation of the world, wrapping them in everlasting grace (Ephesians 1:4), (Jeremiah 31:3).

When we approach God—whether to ask for help, to worship, or to simply rest in His presence—faith forms the bridge. Real coming to God is not a matter of outward habit but a movement of the heart. It means believing not only that God exists, but trusting everything He has revealed about Himself: that He is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; that He sees and understands our needs, that His strength is without limits, and that His promises never break (Matthew 7:7-8), (Romans 8:8).
Trusting God involves leaning not just on His power, but on His unchanging kindness and faithful love. We are invited to come, again and again, seeking Him with all our hearts—not because God plays a game of hide-and-seek, but because He delights in drawing us near through Christ (Hebrews 4:16). He promises reward, not as a wage for effort, but as a generous gift: Himself, His Son, grace for the present, and glory for the future (Colossians 3:24). When you seek God sincerely, know that He sees, He hears, and His heart is open toward you.
