When Scripture says Christ was “yesterday,” it invites us to look far beyond the immediate past. It calls us to remember that He’s been there from the dawn of creation, guiding, redeeming, feeding His people with spiritual bread long before He ever walked the dusty roads of Galilee (Micah 5:2, John 6:51). He was the mysterious figure meeting Abraham, wrestling with Jacob, standing in the flames with Daniel’s friends—a living reminder that every Old Testament shadow pointed forward to Him (Genesis 18:1-2, Daniel 3:25).

Today, Christ is just as near, just as powerful. As our Prophet, He speaks truth to our hearts; as our Priest, He intercedes with unfailing love; as our King, He reigns with unmatched authority (Hebrews 7:24-25, Matthew 28:18-20). Tomorrow holds no surprises for Him—His love, His grace, His redeeming work will endure undiminished, no matter what changes come our way (Psalm 102:27, Romans 8:38-39).

Let your heart rest in this beautiful certainty: Christ will never outgrow, abandon, or forget His people. His reliability isn’t tied to any one era, fad, or feeling. He is and will ever be the Rock that stands firm. Trust Him with all that you are—He is, truly, the same yesterday, today, and forever.
